If you regularly play poker tournaments with friends you know this problem: the blinds timing is erratic. The timer is forgotten, not always restarted, stopped when it should not…
PokerTimer is a tiny application that takes care of the timekeeping during your tournament. Just start it once, and you can read the current small/big blind throughout the tournament. A lot of such applications already exist, online or offline but this one is special: it runs on a mobile phone or PDA, so it's always in your pocket when you need it!
PokerTimer is written in Java and released under the GPL, that means it is free to use and distribute, and you are free to look at the code and modify it!
PokerTimer needs a blinds schedule to know when to change the blinds. You can change the blind schedule in the 'Config' page. You can write your own schedule or use one of the default ones.
The schedules recommended by HomePokerTourney.com (you have to know this site if you organize poker tournaments!) are included in the app, this is what I use and it works well for us. Details are on the website.
At the moment, antes are not supported.
The midlet has only been tested on a few phones, please help testing!
